Three way battle - Richard Parish 12/11/11
An update from yesterday's three way battle where Daryl Giles was the referee, and definitely a game of two halves.
The first half was the PDI competition, with all three contestants participating. From quite early, it was evident that we were not scoring particularly well. We did have three images held back for the higher scores (see below). Although totals were not announced at this point, they were later revealed as: Alt/Hale 201, MAPS 193, SPS 191.
The second half was for prints, but MAPS did not participate - they no longer do prints at all. Our performance picked up, and four images were held back, including the eventual first and second. Scores for this half were Alt/Hale 186, SPS 201.
So we lost the PDIs, won the prints, and won overall.
PDI highlights Pat Holmes, "Select Your Own" 17/20 Dave Hollows, "Lentil Stall" 18/20 Mike Henfield, "Wool Stall, Stockport" 18/20
Prints Chris Mercer, "Something for the Weekend, Sir?" 18/20 Mike Bannister, "Time to Cough Up" 18/20 Chris Mercer "The Butchers" 19/20 Richard Parish, "Upset at the Floating Market" 20/20
MAPS were on the ball in announcing the date for the next Battle: Tuesday 13th November (2012), to be in the same format even though they will again not do prints.
